The best view often comes after the hardest climb. Reach your peak wellness at Summit Mental Wellness.

Virtual psychotherapy for high-functioning, deeply caring women who've spent so long holding everything together that it's hard to imagine asking for support themselves.

You're the one people count on. You show up for your career, your partner, your family, your friends — and somewhere in that, the version of you that needs care gets quietly moved to the bottom of the list.

Summit Mental Wellness is a virtual private practice for women working through fertility challenges, pregnancy and postpartum transitions, reproductive loss, anxiety, burnout, and the shifts of perimenopause and menopause. The work is evidence-based, unhurried, and built around your life — not the other way around.

About Dr. Jacinda Hernandez

I'm Dr. Jacinda Hernandez, a licensed psychologist providing virtual therapy to adults across California. I hold a certification in perinatal mental health (PMH-C) through Postpartum Support International and completed postdoctoral training in fertility counseling and reproductive loss. My approach is warm, direct, and grounded in the research — I want you to leave sessions with real tools, not just a place to vent.

What to Expect

Investment

Individual sessions: $200

Superbills provided directly to client, or processed through third-party platforms such as Mentaya or Thrizer, for clients seeking out-of-network reimbursement.

Summit Mental Wellness is a private-pay practice. This allows for longer sessions when needed, full confidentiality from insurance companies, and a treatment plan built entirely around you rather than what a diagnosis code allows.

FAQs

Summit Mental Wellness is a private-pay practice, which means I don't bill insurance directly. Many clients use the monthly superbill I provide to seek out-of-network reimbursement from their insurance plan — check your plan's out-of-network mental health benefits to see what's covered. I have also partnered with third-party platforms such as Mentaya or Thrizer to support you in processing these out-of-network claims.

A doctoral-level psychologist has the most extensive clinical training available in mental health treatment, including diagnosis, evidence-based treatment planning, and specialized certifications like my perinatal mental health credential (PMH-C) — care built on clinical expertise, not just support.

Why work with a psychologist instead of a coach or counselor?
