Support for the hope, waiting, and grief of trying to grow your family
FERTILITY & PREGNANCY LOSS THERAPY
Trying to conceive can take over your calendar, your body, and your heart. Loss can leave a grief that others may not see. Whatever your path has looked like, you deserve a place to set it down and be understood.
You may be feeling…
These feelings are common on the path to parenthood. They don't mean you're handling it badly. They mean you're carrying something heavy.
Worn down by cycles of hope and disappointmentAngry at, or disconnected from, your own body
Grieving a loss that others don't seem to see
Anxious through every appointment and every waitStrain with your partner over timing, money, or next steps
Afraid to hope during a pregnancy after loss
Isolated as friends and family announce pregnanciesOverwhelmed by decisions about treatment
Unsure who you are outside of trying
YOUR GRIEF IS REAL
When a loss goes unseen
Miscarriage, stillbirth, a failed transfer, or a pregnancy that ended for medical reasons can bring deep grief, even when no one else knew. You may feel pressure to move on quickly. Here, there's no timeline. Your loss matters, and so does the way you're carrying it.
We'll begin with a thorough assessment and build a plan around what matters most to you. Depending on where you are, our work may include:
How therapy can help
-
Support through IUI, IVF, and the long waits in between.
-
Gentle support after miscarriage, stillbirth, or a failed cycle.
-
Support for you as you navigate strain with a partner, family, and friends.
-
Space to think through next steps, pauses, and other paths to parenthood.
-
Practical CBT tools for worry, waiting, and pregnancy after loss.
Postdoctoral
Training in fertility counseling
Why work with a fertility-trained psychologist?
Fertility care has its own language, timelines, and pressures. With postdoctoral training in fertility counseling and a Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C), I understand the emotional side of treatment, loss, and pregnancy after loss, so you don't have to explain the basics before we can begin.
